About this episode:
In this Grounding Practice, Brittany Chambers—infant and family sleep specialist and the founder of Good Night Moon Child—aids us in acknowledging any worries or unhelpful energies in our bodies, and to consciously move these from the mind to the heart, and then deeper into the womb, recognizing it as a source of life and strength.

Emily Race-Newmark: [00:00:00] Welcome to This is How We Care, a podcast where we look at what it means to embody care, not as an individual practice, but a collective one, and to see what kind of world emerges from this place.
Thank you for being here. I am your host, Emily Race.
This grounding practice is brought to you by Brittany Chambers.. To listen to our interview, please check out that separate episode wherever you listen to the This Is How We Care podcast.
Giving you a few moments to transition, if you're able, into a space of intentionality, so that you may receive this short guided practice from adrienne.
We hope that this serves as a gift to you, wherever you are, wherever it meets you in your day.
Without further ado, let me hand the mic over toBritt.
Brittany Chambers: [00:00:00] I'd like to invite you to close your eyes. Release your shoulders from the shrugged position that they've likely been sitting in for most of the day. Feel the weight of your feet on the earth. Acknowledge the ever present power of the earth beneath you. Bring a worry or a concern to mind. Or envision energy that is swirling and whirling in your head that might not be so helpful.
[00:00:44] Pull the energy down from where you're seeing it in your mind's eye into your heart and offer yourself compassion. Offer yourself grace and gentleness. Feel the warmth of your hand on your heart. Remind yourself that you are always at home in your body. Take the swirling, whirling worries and bring them even deeper.
[00:01:15] Bring them into your womb and thank your womb for growing, for giving life, if it has, and for being the seat of your body. Take the worries deeper. And now, Push them all the way down through your feet into Mother Earth. Give the worries back to Mother Earth. She can handle them. She can take them. They are not yours to carry.
[00:01:52] Take a deep breath in. Hold it at the top for a moment. And exhale. Until you feel your shoulders once again naturally fall away from your ears. Slowly open your eyes. Welcome back.
Emily Race-Newmark: Thank you. If you want to continue with us on this journey, please check out the full interview with Brittany.
Hope to see you there.
